Getting Started with AAC Converter


AAC Converter is an ALL-IN-ONE audio converter that converts more than 90 audio and video files to AAC. The converter also supports batch conversion.


Convert Files

  1. Choose Files

    Click Add Files
    Click "Add Files" button to choose files and add them to conversion list.

    The software supports 3GP, 3G2, SWF, AAC, AIFF, AIF, AIFC, AFC, AMR, AWB, AU, SND, AVI, CDA, VOC, ADX, AC3, DTS, DV, DIF, VOB, DVD, CDATA, FLV, FLAC, M2TS, MTS, MKV, MKA, DVR-MS, MJPG, MJPEG, MMF, MOD, XM, IT, S3M, MTM, UMX, MO3, APE, APL, MAC, MIDI, MID, RMI, KAR, MP3, MPA, MPGA, M2A, MPG, MPE, MPEG, M1V, MP2, M2V, MP1, MLV, M4A, M4B, MP4, TS, M4V, MPV, PSP, MPC, MP+, MPP, NSV, NSA, NUT, OGG, OGA, OGM, OGV, OGX, MOV, QT, H261, H263, H264, 264, RA, RAM, RM, RMVB, SPX, TTA, DAT, WAV, WV, WMA, ASF, WMV, WM, WMD, XWMV, and YUV.

    Choose one or more files
    Choose one or more files you want to convert.

  2. Choose Target File Format


  3. You can choose one of the following formats
    • to AAC
    • to MP3
    • to WAV
    • to OGG
    • to AMR
    • to AWB
    • to MP4
    • to M4A
    • to M4B

  4. Convert

    Click Convert
    Click button "Convert" to convert all files into target format.

    The software is converting files.

  5. Play & Browse

    Play & Browse
    When conversion completes, you can right-click converted item and choose "Play Destination" to play the destination file; or choose "Browse Destination Folder" to open Windows Explorer to browse the destination file.

Resample AAC

  1. Choose AAC Files


  2. Click Add Files
    Click "Add Files" button to choose AAC files and add them to conversion list.

    Choose one or more AAC files
    Choose one or more AAC files you want to convert and then click Open.

  3. Set AAC Encoding Parameters

    Click Options
    Click "Options"

    And then switch to tab "AAC Options," then set encoding parameters.

    You can choose ABR (Average Bit Rate) or VBR (Variable Bit Rate).

    • Average Bit Rate (ABR): supports 16 kbps, 24 kbps, 32 kbps, 40 kbps, 48 kbps, 56 kbps, 64 kbps, 80 kbps, 96 kbps, 112 kbps, 128 kbps, 144 kbps, 160 kbps, 192 kbps, 224 kbps, 256 kbps, and 320 kbps.
    • Variable Bit Rate (VBR): supports quality value from 10 to 500. The bigger value, the better sound quality, and the larger file size.

    And, the software supports the following advanced options.

    • Use Temporal Noise Shaping (TNS): default value is OFF
    • Allow Mid/Side: default value is ON
    • MPEG Version: default value is MPEG4. The MPEG4 is recommended. As non-standard compliant players like QuickTime 6 only support MPEG4. However, Philips Expanium users should choose MPEG2. As their CD portable does not know MPEG-4 AAC files.
    • Block Type: default value is "Both long and short"

    Click OK when set is done.

  4. Choose "to AAC"

  5. Resample AAC

    Click Convert
    Click "Convert" to start resampling AAC.

  6. Play & Browse


  7. Play & Browse
    When conversion completes, you can right-click converted item and choose "Play Destination" to play the destination file; or choose "Browse Destination Folder" to open Windows Explorer to browse the destination file.

  8. Done
